The absolute deluge of rain In Wexford on Wednesday 27th September did nothing to dampen the spirits of those who attended our Positive Ageing event. Held In conjunction with Age Action Ireland, it was one of several hundred events held around the country during Positive Ageing Week. Long term, Age Action wants to make Ireland the best place in the world to grow old. Positive Ageing Week supports this by highlighting the pro-active and energetic role that older persons play in their communities. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Back to the Future’ and participants at ACCESS 2000 enjoyed board games, hula hoops, bubble machines, and a few brave young at hearts tried the mini trampoline. Spot prizes were awarded for the best performances of stories, songs and recitations and a raffle was held for a fabulous prize kindly donated by Sam MacCauley chemist Wexford. Jenny Kiely, life coach rounded off the event with a meditation and relaxation session.
Guest Speakers, activities, fun & games and tea & cakes.
